We – the Thesis community – are still waiting for a Thesis 2.0 release date. Chris Pearson has earned some bucks and is showing off with his new home (which is adorable). The good news is: DIYthemes is already advertising for Thesis 2.0 – I suppose it’s near.

Ads like the following confirm that because they always ask you to read #4 which you perhaps know is about the price for the developer edition increasing from a measly $164 to a rather expensive $297.

Chris Pearson, the creator of the famous Thesis Theme, managed it to attract 30’000+ users buying his product. On Youtube.com, the hype about Thesis keeps on going.

But there are many crappy videos not worth watching, so I decided to assemble the most useful, inspiring and entertaining Thesis (1.8) videos for you to watch in a row.

What’s New With Thesis 1.8?

In this video Lisa (see her talking about Thesis in general) demonstrates the features of Thesis 1.8 – in comparison to previous versions. For beginners I consider this a must-watch.

In March 2010 I said the change from the nice inhouse affiliate program (managed by DIYthemes itself) to ShareASale was not a good idea. Today, more than half a year from that day, I decided to review not only my opinion but also ShareASale as my business partner.

As you can read in my old post I was not satisfied with how European affiliates were treated. I’m currently living in Germany, so I had to struggle with the new policies as well as many other European affiliates. Cliff notes: PayPal was somehow considered to be “unsecure”. That – in my personal opinion – is ridiculous, but alas, my opinion doesn’t count much.

Hey. Whether you are one of my 20+ regular readers or new to this site: I have to announce that I disliked my old Thesis site and because of that I created a simple yet beautiful Thesis design. It took me about 20 minutes (because I grabbed some CSS from another site of mine, but…) and I enjoy the new simplicity.

I’m still impressed by the variety of designs you can create with Thesis.

What do you say?

BTW: I’m ready for a Thesis 2.0 release date, Chris!

How the heck would I know? Last year I repeated a rumour telling the community a beta for the long awaited Thesis 2.0 would be released in 2009. That’s more than six months ago and I still can’t see the beta in my downloads tab (I’m a developer, so I should be first to know!).

One guy over at famousbloggers.net claims to have seen AdSense ads that say: “Buy Thesis while it’s cheap. Prices will increase…”

I haven’t seen any evidence to prove that and I think it’s another rumour to make people buy it (from famousbloggers.net of course).

Funny thing to mention: Months ago I said I would even pay $ 300,- for the Thesis Theme and said blogger is now repeating the price would be $ 297,- for the developer edition when Thesis 2.0 hits the market

Do you know the Thesis 2.0 release date?

If so, please comment on this post and share your wisdom with us. After being a bit disappointed by DIYthemes (for tossing a 2009ish date and just giving me Thesis 1.7) I now don’t want to riddle any longer about it.

Woot! Just in time. Unlike my last post about the totally outdated Thesis 1.7 beta I can now serve you a very short, yet incredibly informative “tutorial” about how to create a custom Thesis design within 2 minutes.

Especially if you are new to the Thesis scene and/or did not yet dare to pay some bucks for the best WordPress theme on this planet – this video is for you.

Let’s Create A Custom Thesis Design

Learn how easy it is to customize Thesis from within the options menu solely. No hassles with digging into HTML or CSS code, no dirty methods of trial and error. It’s really that simple!
